The Setup

The Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory had expanded their footprint into distilling their own bourbon, but their branding was far too set in the world of bourbon, and not enough in the world of baseball. The Big Bat Bourbon team approached us to solve their branding needs and give them a bold take on what it means to be a bourbon brand in Kentucky

The Solution

Pulling from the familiarity of the ‘Golden Age of baseball’, we took inspiration from the vintage looks-and-feels, whilst also making sure the brand felt current and modern. The brand plays into the original patent filings made for the first ever Louisville Slugger bats.

The brand had a majorly successful launch, bringing in lifestyle & bourbon influencers alike to see the transformed space.

The standout branding pieces were:

• A giant Big Bat Bourbon Neon sign

• Accompanying set of signature Bourbons

• Historically influenced murals

• Customized template design for patrons to print their own labels.
